The six regions of Leonida

Six places, as Rockstar describes them on its Only in Leonida page. We update this page when Rockstar shows more of the map.

Updated October 31, 2026

From Vice City to Mount Kalaga: the six places Rockstar has shown across the state of Leonida, with an official screenshot of each.

GTA VI is set in the state of Leonida. Rockstar’s Only in Leonida page tours six places, from the neon of Vice City to a national park on the state’s northern border. How big is it all? Rockstar told Edge that Leonida is nearly as big as GTA IV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined.

Vice City

“Everything in Excess”, in Rockstar’s words. It is a long way from the ’80s, but Rockstar still calls Vice City the sun and fun capital of America: the glamour, hustle and greed of America in a single city.

Its neighborhoods range from the pastel art deco hotels and white sands of Ocean Beach to the panaderías of Little Cuba and the bootleg brands of the Tisha-Wocka flea market, out to the VC Port, which Rockstar calls the cruise ship capital of the world. Rockstar’s own description of the setting: “Vice City, USA. The darkest side of the sunniest place in America.”

This is home turf for Boobie Ike, a local Vice City legend.

Leonida Keys

Rockstar calls the Keys the “Gateway to Paradise”. Life in this tropical archipelago isn’t flashy but it’s easy: the dress code is casual and the bars are loaded. Rockstar also warns that the islands sit on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in America.

The Keys are where Jason works for local drug runners, and where Brian Heder, a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling, still moves product through his boat yard.

Grassrivers

Leonida’s wetlands, which Rockstar calls “the untamable jewel of Leonida’s crown”. The gators may be the most famous attraction, Rockstar writes, but there are far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves. Rockstar’s screenshots show airboats and alligators.

Port Gellhorn

“This is Leonida’s forgotten coast.” Cheap motels, shut-down attractions and empty strip malls won’t bring the tourists back to this once-popular vacation spot. Instead, Rockstar describes a new economy fueled by malt liquor, painkillers and truck stop energy drinks.

Ambrosia

“The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here.” In the heart of the state, American industry and old-school values still reign. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, and the local biker gang provides almost everything else.

Mount Kalaga

Mount Kalaga National Park sits up against the state’s northern border, with hunting, fishing and off-road trails. In the backwoods around it, Rockstar writes, hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government.

The Ultimate Edition’s ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy is built for these backwoods. The editions guide lists everything else in that edition.
